Western spoof. Depicts the conflict between the leader of a gang of country bandits and his former protégé, now a police officer.
A vicious group of strangers gather to divvy up the spoils of a train robbery, while an ace detective pursues hot on their trail. As the bandits realize they may not be strangers after all, the detective unearths a deadly conspiracy at the heart of their crime.
Charles Shea, the handsome young foreman of the Bar Z ranch, has won the love of the winsome daughter of his employer, John Graham. Alice and he are engaged to be married when a telegram announcing the death of his father and the request that he immediately return East, is handed Shea. Promising to return immediately the estate is settled. Shea bids Alice good-bye and leaves for the East. A year passes and no word from Charley. The girl is in despair and. though every cowpuncher on the place loves her madly, she refuses each one in turn, declaring that she will wait for Charley, whom she is sure will return soon.
A lumber man called the Timber Wolf comes to the aid of an old prospector.
A Filipino immigrant travels the American west searching for his relatives. Although he doesn't speak much English, he winds up getting involved with Chinese immigrants, and a beautiful blonde American girl and finds himself appointed sheriff of a small town that's having trouble with an outlaw gang.
Broncho Billy learns that part of his land is occupied by a "squatter." He orders the "squatter" evicted. The latter starts out to kill Billy, but Bessie, the "squatter's" daughter, prevents him. She pleads with Billy to permit them to remain on the land. Billy immediately falls in love with her.

Tom Blake, en route to the bank to draw money to pay off the mortgage for Felton, his boss, is intercepted by Trumbull, acting for Purdy (who holds the mortgage). Blake escapes and swims ashore to a private school for girls. There he meets Marjorie, Felton's daughter, and on their way to the ranch they are kidnapped by Trumbull and taken to a deserted cabin.
When Buck is young his cattle stealing father is killed. Now grown Buck returns home still carrying the burden of his father's reputation. When he is framed for rustling, he finds an object that identifies Milt Fergus, the brother of his girl friend, as the rustler. Getting bailed out of jail he and his Uncle Ford have a plan to trap Milt.

Serials usually spawned feature film versions, but with this film, it was the other way around. A 1932 Buck Jones Western, White Eagle was made into a serial nine years later, again starring Jones in the title role, a (supposedly) Native American Pony Express Rider defending his people against a gang of evil Whites.
A stagecoach is attacked by a group of outlaws who make off with a pile of money. Unfortunately for Mexican Juan, the sheriff believes he's one of the criminals and has him locked up. But the beautiful Cheel thinks Juan is innocent, and offers to help him escape. Overhearing their plan, the real mastermind behind the heist forces Juan to act as the runner for the money.
Federal-agent/cowboy battles crime
Two prisoners, Steve Brandt and Nick Montana, chained to each other, escape by jumping from the train that brought them to the penitentiary. Persued, they hide in the carriage with Jane Langton. Arriving at her ranch, they discover that she is fighting against a Pete Sutton, who wants to take her pasture. Not wanting to confront, Sutton offers the two escapees help by assisting them move to Mexico.
It's Wild Bill Elliot as Wild Bill Hickok in the Columbia B-western Lone Star Vigilantes. Returning from Civil War duty, Hickok, Tex Martin and Cannonball find that their Texas home town is under the rule of Colonel Monroe, a bush-league dictator with his own police force. In true Hitlerian fashion, Monroe extorts huge sums of money from the populace, terrorizing them into silence. Our three heroes set about to put an end to Monroe's regime, with time out for Tex Ritter's musical interludes.
Bradley Blatchford, returning to his father's ranch from college, meets Sybil Hamilton, who is coming to the ranch town as a schoolteacher. Later, Bradley's father is suspected of rustling cattle, but he denies the charge. As the romance develops between Bradley and Sybil, Bradley comes upon a rustler at work and is about to shoot when he discovers his own father, who claims he is victim of a hereditary taint that he cannot subdue. Some friends, who observe the incident, rustle some of Blatchford's cattle, mark it with Sybil's brand, and accuse her of rustling and hiding some dark secret. She confesses that her brother disgraced the family, and when George learns of it, he is forgiven and is reunited with her.
Quick Draw McGraw becomes El Kabong the Hero and fights El Bad Guy with his steel guitar. El Kabong and Babalooie ride into a garishly colored town in Mexico inhabited by Day of the Dead skeleton townfolk. El Bad Guy and his cohorts are generally out to get the townsfolk.

The Sheriff and his deputies are after Scar Adams. Scar is the brother of Alice Denton, the girl Deputy Tom plans to marry, and when the Sheriff is wounded she makes Tom refuse the job of Sheriff. But when Scar kills his father, Tom puts on the badge and takes out after him.
Cattle are being routinely stolen from a local ranch, and suspicion centers on a local mountain family. But the Three Mesquiteers are wise to the criminals' deeds. But when a ranger is shot and Stony is framed for the crime, it's up to Lullaby and Tucson to prove his innocence.
