Year 2060. Climate predictions made at the beginning of the 21st century have turned out to be dramatically true: global warming of the Earth's atmosphere now has serious consequences on the every day lives of our grandchildren.
The God Complex is an irreverent, ultra‑low‑budget biblical satire that deliberately mocks well‑known stories from the Bible, turning God and key figures into broad comic caricatures. Rather than treating Scripture with any reverence, the film uses parody, crude humor, and exaggerated “logical” twists specifically to ridicule Christian beliefs and present the Bible’s narratives as silly and absurd.

After a wild bachelor party, our hero finds himself aboard a sailing vessel where he encounters numerous adventures. In a dream sequence, he fantasizes that the ship is seized by a band of female pirates.
This is a straight version of the old fairy tale, with John Carradine as the Emperor. It was filmed in South Florida, with exteriors in Coral Gables and Miami's Vizcaya. The hero bests the villainous efforts of two scheming tailors who convince the vain king that their clothes are so marvelous that only smart people can see them.
"Old Peter Grimm makes his ward Katie promise to marry his nephew Frederik [ sic ] and then dies. Frederik proves to be a scapegrace and Peter's spirit returns to right matters and finally succeeds in doing so by communicating with Jimmie who is in a delirium." ( Moving Picture World, 20 Nov 1926, p164.) Peter thus thwarts selfishness and greed and rewards virtue.
Hamilan, a cruel and ambitious general, murders his king and places himself on the throne with the former king's evil niece as his queen.
